Led by Central BID Birmingham, City Safe works in partnership with West Midlands Police, British Transport Police, Birmingham City Council and other bodies across the city to actively reduce crime.

City Safe was created in Autumn 2019 by the BID as a response to members’ increasing concerns about business crime and the impact of anti-social behaviour on the safety of staff and visitors to the city. Hire of radio equipment and airtime is provided by Apex Radio Systems Limited.

The radio provided by Apex Radio Systems Limited is a class leading Motorola digital radio (as detailed below) which includes handset, battery, antenna, charger and belt clip.
