The City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra(CBSO) Christmas themed concert sees Conductor Kazuki Yamada lead the orchestra through a selection of music from Tchaikovsky’s festive ballet The Nutcracker.
Added to that, there will be music from Bernstein – of Prelude, Fugue and Riffs – and Duke Ellington’s jazz-infused take on The Nutcracker Suite.
The CBSO’s Oliver Janes provides the solo clarinet section, which was originally written for jazz supremo Benny Goodman.
There are two identical concerts taking place on December 10, 2026. One is at 2.15pm and the other at 7pm. The running time is around 2 hours but could be subject to change.
Tickets cost from £27.50 to £53.
Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult.
