Metro Bank in Birmingham city centre is marking the start of the Women’s T20 Cricket World Cup 2026 at Edgbaston this week with a three-day event at its High Street premises.
As a sponsor of the England Women Cricket Team, who play Sri Lanka at Edgbaston on Friday(June 12), bank staff will be handing out free merchandise. There will also be the chance to win a signed cricket bat and ball by the England Women’s Cricket Team in a free prize draw.
Fans will also be able to go into a special photo booth at the bank where they can send messages to the England team from Wednesday June 10 to Friday June 12.

Other events open to all range from a cricket-themed business networking event on Thursday June 11 from 6pm to 8pm, aimed at SMEs, Metro Bank’s regular clients and those interesting in finding out more.
There is also a Women in Business coffee morning with guest speakers on Friday June 12 from 10am to 11.30am.
The bank’s partnership with England & Wales Cricket Board supports women’s cricket including at grassroots level by backing local clubs.
