The Birmingham Pride 2025 Festival takes place on Friday 23rd, Saturday 24th & Sunday 25th May, with the Pride Parade launching at midday on Saturday from Centenary Square.
Birmingham Pride is firmly established as one of the biggest Pride festivals in the UK & is a positive celebration of the city’s diverse LGBTQ+ community, creating an estimated £20 million pounds of economic benefit for the area. Pride Parade Road Closures & Access Information – Saturday 24th May from 8.45am
ROUTE: Centenary Square (Broad Street) > Paradise Circus Tramway > New Street > left turn onto High Street > right turn onto Carrs Lane > right turn onto Moor Street Queensway / St.Martins Queensway > Smallbrook Queensway > left turn onto Hurst Street > right turn onto Thorp Street
Road closures and crowd barriers will be in place to facilitate the safe passage of the parade as it passes through the city. Vehicle access to frontages on the Parade route will not be possible whilst the procession passes through the city. Council officials will re-open the roads as soon as it’s safe to do so. Parade route road closures will commence from 8.45am ahead of the parade launch on Centenary Square at midday. Road closures will be managed along the route and will be re-opened in sequence following the safe passage of the parade until approximately 3pm. We kindly ask businesses on the parade route or within the Pride Street Festival site to not use ‘A boards’ during Pride weekend that may cause obstruction to the Parade participants and members of the public.
Street Party & Smithfield Festival Site Road Closures & Access Fri 23rd to Mon 26th May
Festival site road closures will be in place from Friday 23rd to the morning of Monday 26th May. Hurst St from Bromsgrove St to Sherlock St and Skinner Lane will be closed from 8am on Friday 23rd May until 10am on Monday 26th May. Bromsgrove Street from Lower Essex St to Hurst St will be closed from 10am Friday 23rd May until 10am Monday26th May. Kent Street, Lower Essex Street & Claybrook Street will be closed from 4pm on Friday 23rd May. All other full and restricted road closures will run between 4am on Saturday 24th May until 4am on Monday 26th May.
Businesses within the Street Party Festival site on Bromsgrove Street, Hurst Street, Kent Street, Lower Essex Street, & Gooch St North will only have vehicular access until approx. 8am on both 24th and 25th May. Southside, I-Land, Latitude, Unity & Armouries apartment residents will have access to their car parking facilities throughout the weekend. Residents of Timber Yard will have access to their car parking facilities, but should request a car park permit from their concierge.
