Irish bar Katie O’Brien’s in Birmingham city centre is bringing the Christmas holiday spirit to seniors across the community with a special event.
The heart-warming Over-70s Christmas Event takes place at the bar in Temple Street on Wednesday December 10.
Anyone with parents, grandparents, neighbours, and friends in that age group are urged to spread the word as they are all welcome to go along during the afternoon.
Katie O’Briens will host over 1,600 local seniors for an afternoon filled with festive fun. Guests can expect a warm Irish welcome along with free drinks, live music, and tasty bites, including a sausage roll and a perfectly poured pint of Guinness.
It comes after the success of a similar gathering in Newcastle last year, which welcomed more than 200 older people. Now, the tradition is expanding nationwide across all 10 Katie O’Brien’s venues including Birmingham.
“We’re thrilled to open our doors once again to the older members of our community,” said the team at Katie O’Brien’s. “Christmas is all about connection, joy, and belonging, and we can’t wait to celebrate with a good sing-along and plenty of holiday cheer.”
