New luxury jewellery showroom in Birmingham New Street has launched replacing the former Watches of Switzerland store.
Renowned jeweller Mappin & Webb has returned to Birmingham city centre for the first time in 20 years, and is now open in time for Christmas shopping.
In recent months, The Watches of Switzerland Group, which owns Mappin & Webb, has overhauled the prominent site in busy New Street, redeveloping and expanding the showroom. The new state-of-the-art jewellery offering now stretches further into Burlington Arcade.
Here’s a first look at the new eye-catching store, selling luxury brands including Rolex watches, Cartier and Tudor under the stewardship of Lloyd Morgan, Mappin & Webb showroom director.
It’s an incredible addition to Birmingham city centre, which is already a leading shopping hotspot in the UK.
It comes as the brand marks its 250th anniversary in the industry as a leader among British jewellery and watchmaking.
Watches of Switzerland Group has signed a 10-year lease at The Burlington with property company Hortons but also operates the Goldsmiths showroom and Breitling boutique in Birmingham’s Bullring.
The Watches of Switzerland Group is the UK’s largest luxury watch retailer for brands including Rolex, OMEGA, Cartier, TAG Heuer and Breitling watches.
